Over the years the names have changed, but one constant has always been the same, Tony Mikus, founding member and charismatic leader of the band. Tony has weathered the storm of changing members and musical fads to stay on top of the rock and roll scene. Tony is an accomplished guitarist, extremely versatile singer, and exceptional songwriter. Due to his efforts, Big Engine has continued to perform at an exciting professional level for over 15 years.

Hans Oellerich first played with Big Engine back in 1995 when, at age 15, he got on stage and jammed on guitar with the band. Over the years Hans remained a Big Engine fan, jammed with the band on several occasions, and in 1999, became Big Engine's lead guitar player. Hans is a tremendous guitarist who has become very popular with the fans. His work on the guitar and active stage presence captures the essence of raw rock and roll!

Benny Puckett was Big Engine's drummer for most of the 90's and he played on five of the band's CDs before exiting in the summer of 2000.  Benny played in a couple of other bands during his three and a half year hiatus and returned to Big Engine in February 2004. Benny's solid, high energy playing style compliments the band very well.  His antics behind the drum kit and interplay with band mates really enhance Big Engine's live shows.

Banner Thomas was the original bass player for Big Engine. Many years prior to being with Big Engine, he was one of the original members of Molly Hatchet. Banner left Big Engine in 1992 to do another tour with Molly Hatchet. Then, he returned to Big Engine in late 2000.
